What finally broke the spell for me?
The moment actors stopped being part of the story… and started acting like they were the story.
The magic used to come from collaboration; a chaotic, imperfect team making something bigger than themselves. Now it feels like a collection of solo acts, each one polishing their own spotlight, waiting for their close-up in the cinematic selfie reel.
The “I” has replaced the “us.”
The ensemble became the algorithm.
The performance became the brand.
And when every role is just a launchpad for a podcast, a fragrance, or a tweet while the story quietly slips out the side door, forgotten before the credits roll.
